This is kinda cool too. Basically it's a way to get rid of stuff you don't need anymore, or get stuff someone else wants to get rid of. Pretty simple concept I suppose. I just joined a couple of the Dallas area groups, so I guess I'll see how it works...

NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month

.Various Send feedback »

OK, this is a bit late since it was November...but I thought I'd post it anyway. Seems an interesting idea. Basically the challenge is to write a novel in a month.

National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.

In 2003, they had about 25,000 participants. Over 3500 of them crossed the 50,000 word finish line. This year they collectively wrote 428,134,750 words. Damn that's a lot of words.

Maybe I'll try this next year, I've always wanted to write a book. :p

This one as much as tells you who to vote for. It was more interesting when it included the Democratic Primary contenders.

Oddly, this time it ranked Kerry 1st (54%), Bush 2nd (46%) & Kucinich 3rd (46%). That was definitely not the order last time I took it. But considering I don't match any of them be any great amount, I'm not surprised.

I almost forgot...Apple & Audible are offering recordings of the 9-11 Comission Hearings free on the iTunes Music Store. Of course this link requires iTunes...

Of course Spymac'ers will probably already know this, but others might not.
